Location: Hove, East Sussex
Work carried-out: A Planning Application was submitted for a rear extension. The solution was for a single space which would accommodate an offset rear elevation together served by utility spaces. The resulting interior was sophisticated and classic.
Project description: This detached property was largely unaltered and had not been able to adapt to the changing needs of the owner.
A single space was sought, which would combine kitchen and living space with good, views of and access to the garden.
The way to resolve the offset rear elevation proved to be a small section of blade wall which actually helped to define the sub-division of the spaces and an interesting feature in its own right.
We worked with the client and her builder to ensure she had a solution that would feel warm, friendly, comfortable and inviting – reflecting the personality of our client and her tastes.
